CHANGE

When we speak about change most of Gods children desire that change to come about from a supernatural touch from God and very few see change coming forth from the application of Gods word

Hear what Rom 12:1-says
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Verse 2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The word conformed in the Greek is soos-khay-mat-id-zo and it means to be poured into the mold

In this world that we live in there are tremendous pressures and fires that come against us that are going to melt us and if there is one thing that I am sure of it is that you can not exit this world the same way that you came into it

The pressures, heartaches, sorrows, tribulation and persecutions of this life are going to melt every single one of us,

But we get to choose what mold we are going to be placed in and molded by.

Will it be the mold of this world or will it be the mold of another world.

The scripture is very clear do not be conformed, do not be poured into the mold of the world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind
The renewing of your mind is how this transformation is going to take place
We will be transformed by our thinking.

Prov 23:7
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

The way that you think is the way that you are.
If you want to change your actions you must change your thinking.

How is it that we as children of God effect change and become more Christ-like?
How is it that we begin to walk in health, love, joy and peace?

I will tell you how!
Most people try to get it accomplished through prayer
They pray for God to supernaturally touch them and transform them and then they look for that transformation to come in some way that is outside of the word.

Don’t miss this
The transforming takes place by the renewing of your mind

We have to renew our mind, our thinking and our attitude into the truths and principles of God’s word

Why?

Because Gods word is the only standard for proper thinking, it is the only standard: by which we are to live, think and evaluate things,

You do not have to look very far in the world or the church to find negative responses, negative emotions and negative thinking.
There is negativity all around us and yet if the child of God would look at Matthew 24 you would find that we are to rejoice when we see these things coming to pass for our redemption draws nigh.

That which is in the world producing depression and discouragement should be doing the opposite in us
We are to be encouraged according to Gods word

Here is revelation
The way that you think determines the way that you feel

Grace and peace is multiplied unto you through how much you know about God and the Lord Jesus Christ

2 Pet 1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

If we have the wrong knowledge on the inside of us it makes no difference how much you pray, go to church or
how many people lay there hands on you to bless you.
You are not going to have grace and peace and joy until you get a hold of Gods word and that word starts to get a hold of you

Make no doubt about it you will be what your dominate thoughts are and if your thinking is contrary to God’s word then the results that take place in your life are going to be contrary to the word of God also.

Most people that see change in the Christian life see it as something that is torturous
They see it as hard and difficult and yet that is not what the word of God teaches.

Rom 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The word transformed in the Greek is metamorphoo and it means to be changed into another form
It is the same word that we get metamorphous from

And metamorphous describes the process in which a caterpillar spins a cocoon and later comes forth as a butterfly
In that cocoon that worm is not struggling, it is not striving and fighting to become a butterfly
It is just the nature of that caterpillar to become a butterfly

God placed that power within the caterpillar.

And so that caterpillar spins a cocoon and isolates itself and allows the process to transform it into what it is supposed to become

God made the child of God to be victorious over the world, an over comer and a conqueror over the world

You were not made in His image and likeness to be defeated by the flesh, discouraged or depressed by the flesh

He has given you his word to wrap around you like a cocoon and all you have to do is isolate yourself in that cocoon and wait for the transformation to take place

The potential is already on the inside!

If you are a Born Again child of God it is already placed within you,
All you have to do is take Gods word and wrap yourself within it and wait for the process to bring you forth as a butterfly
Do you want to know the difficulty if you can call it that concerning the child of God

It is not trying to be good, it is not striving to be made perfect or holy, the only difficulty in the child of Gods life is just to reject and cast aside all that is evil.
As that worm wraps that cocoon around him, he separates and isolates himself from everything that will hinder the process of that transformation

And when we as that caterpillar separate ourselves from all the things that vie for our attention, all the things that vie for our time and put the word of God first and foremost in our lives that word will effortlessly and without struggle change us

Here is revelation
There are multitudes of people who are discouraged and depressed over the way that there lives are as a children of God
The answer is within them and they have the tool in their hands
The word of God

If you will take this word and make it dominate in your heart so that it is dominate in your thought, emotions and actions
Then all that it promises will be yours to behold
GLORY TO GOD

VICTORY

How was Abraham victorious and an over comer concerning the word that God had spoken to him
What we have makes Abraham look like he had nothing
Abraham had God on the outside
We have God on the inside
Abraham had a tabernacle built in his home, we are the tabernacle
Abraham had a word, we have a volume of words
Abraham’s promise was his son, our promise is the Son of God
And in Abraham having less he walked in more, believed for more and staggered not at the promise that God had given Him
